The Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission, M.Sc. Vasko Pejkov and the Rector of the American College University-Skopje, Prof. Dr. Marjan Bojadziev, officially confirmed and advanced the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation. This important document represents an essential step towards strengthening partnership relations and integrating academic and professional capacities in the financial, capital, and education markets. The signed memorandum covers key areas of partnership, such as: The Memorandum of Cooperation reflects the joint commitment of the Commission and the University to creating a stable, innovative, and competitive financial system. This system will be supported by high-quality education, professional training, and modern technologies and will constitute the foundation for continuous growth and development of the capital market in the Republic of Macedonia.

Today, on December 4th, UACS proudly hosted the Ceremony of Bestowing the Title “Honorary Knight of the Order Star of Italy” to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Marjan Bojadziev, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to fostering collaboration in education and science between Macedonia and Italy. The event opened with a speech by UACS Prof. Marina Andeva, followed by remarks from H.E. Andrea Silvestri, the Italian Ambassador, who highlighted Prof. Bojadjiev’s accomplishments before bestowing the prestigious title. Prof. Bojadjiev then delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude and reflecting on his work building bridges between the two countries, with the ceremony concluding with Prof. Ana Tomovska Misoska delivering a closing speech and presenting a painting by UACS Prof. Toni Vasic, as a token of appreciation, followed by a cocktail gathering attended by distinguished academics, professionals, and family members. I am thrilled to announce that I contributed to a new special edition of Sage’s Cross-Cultural Research Journal, published under the title:“Culture and Leadership in Slavic Nations.” This Special Issue is part of an ongoing series of studies led by the Centre for Cross-Cultural Comparisons https://lnkd.in/d-Qv4hXA. Thanks to Romie Frederick Littrell and Jasenko Ljubica I am especially proud to have co-authored two papers within this series, alongside esteemed colleagues Ana Tomovska Misoska, Ivona Mileva, PhD, and, in the early stages of our collaboration, Miodraga Stefanovska -Petkovska. Yesterday, University American College Skopje officially opened the 2023/24 academic year with great enthusiasm and pride. The UACS Opening Ceremony is an annual tradition that brings the entire UACS community together as one, including our first-year students, their parents, our professors and distinguished guests. As the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, the Ceremony began with the procession of the UACS professors and students that walked together in the hall, symbolizing the unity and dedication of our University. During the procession, the American High School Skopje choir delivered wonderful performances of the Macedonian national anthem, the American national anthem and the Academic anthem.
